Glad you enjoyed it Asim and thanks for uploading the pictures - saves me a job :D

One particular highlight - apart from meeting everyone in the glorious sunshine - was the chance to drive a G30 B5 BiTurbo allrad and then an E61 B5 Touring.

The G30 was insane - so much power (600bhp) delivered instantly quite shook me, if I am honest. In contrast, the E61 "only" had 500bhp but the lovely linear delivery from the spooling supercharger was much more my cup of tea.

However, I couldn't help feeling that the driving experience in the G30 was a bit like being ensconced in a cocoon compared to the levels of feedback I am used to in my meagerly powered 300bhp E46 and the E61 suffered from having quite a high centre of gravity causing it to roll in corners more than I normally experience.

Don't get me wrong - I enjoyed both cars a lot - but they are both very big (the G30 is enormous!) and I guess I like my compact little E46 in comparison - less toys and more driving, perhaps?

Great little meeting today, pity I had to leave early but family duties called! Had a catch up with some familiar faces and look forward to the next meet. Thanks for the photos Asim as I was useless and took none as too busy nosing around the cars on show.

Sadly no E30, one of the few models not there. Needed Simon's there

Yes the Silverstone B10 is for sale - and it's a lovely car, such a special combo. One of my favourite of the day!

Hi Brett

Hope you're good. That V8S is AdamB10 - lovely car, with Ecru extended leather and a sunroof. No more pics though, sorry.

There were 3 V8S there:

Alpina Blue with Black, only 58k
Techno Violet with Grey and violet piping - Brian's
Topaz Blue with Ecru extended - Adam

Plus 2 V8S owners - me and the gent with the B5s who's bought the Avus blue with Lotus white example.

Good to know the V8S is being loved by all these owners :D

Some nice photos there.

Weather was beautiful and was great meeting some of the forum members. Charles your E46 looked great on the move when you passed us on the M40.

See you guys at Ace Cafe next month.
