Can I just give a + to Adrian Flux.
I had a quote from the faceless Elephant of £483 with £450 xs, and AF have come in at £471 with £250 xs. I had to phone for this quote as the web site was dearer but I didn't think this was too bad for the B3 touring.
My normal droker couldn't touch it, with his best at £600+

I sent the quote ref. to Adrian Flux, and true to their word, they had a good look around and found me a better deal, so I'm staying. But this does beg the question, why couldn't they have done this sooner, instead of quoting me £200 over the odds/

What a waste of my time.

Finally called Flux to get a quote, told them my best price was £808 from HIC whereby the guy turned around and said they won't compete as it's a sister company....!

Sounds like the discount is not worth the thread it was written on and it'll have to be down to other companies to find out if there's a better deal out there.

I'll be on the ring-round then.

Switched to Adrian Flux this week, they beat my previous insurer by £150.

Well to resurrect this post. I'm pretty disappointed with flux on the quote they gave me. B3 e46 touring, 2002 14k a year, way over £1500 per annum?? I'm 46 ffs? Full ncb to, ridiculous, so I won't be going there! Before they've been very good and competitive but not this time!

After reading this thread i also rang Adrian Flux for a quote and that too
was not competative i would have been better off staying with Admiral.
But, i actualy just posted on the other thread, Alpina insurance, that after contacting A Plan, also advertised in the straight six mag. that i was more than pleased with the outcome. :D

Just swapped insurance from Elephant via Adrian Flux to Equity Red Star; very pleased with the £380.00 premium for comprehensive cover, especially as it includes various modifications to the B10 (lsd, k&n filter, grooved discs, et cetera)

Hi,

I am not telephone based personally, hence asking for the details so we can arrange a call back from our quotes team.

I hope that is OK?

Kind regards,
Dan.

I hate hunting around for quotes for a 3rd car.

Have my D3bt insured with Aviva cost me about £340, full NCB, Adv driver etc
My Sierra Cosworth on a classic policy 3k miles p/a agreed value £119
Both policies fully comp.

Best quote the nice chap at Flux could provide was £320

Whilst the quote is reasonable given there's no NCD in use on the 3rd car, why they can't get close to the Cosworths insurance figure is beyond me.
Nothing to see here.... move along in an orderly fashion please!
