Purchase by PCP - any advice?

Post by Norrie » Tue Aug 22, 2017 11:08 am

I am wondering if anyone has had any experience of the Personal Car Plan or Personal Lease plan? I think for new car you pay a lump sum contribution then fixed monthly payments at the end of the given period you can either extend the arrangement, buy the car for a sum or switch to another plan.

is that right? Also can you get PCP on a used vehicle?

Just for fun I looked at a new B7 lease plan monthly payment is 3253.54 on a 24 month agreement, they must be forming a queue?

Hi Norman
It's all about affordability
If it works for you , go for it
There's a hell of a difference driving the F01 B7 compared to the E65 B7 never mind a G11 B7

It also depends on whether you want the car for the long term or just replace it after 3 years.

The manufacturers love PCPs because they are virtually guaranteed to be able to sell a new car at the end of the term as most people just chop the car back in against a new one
