E46 Winter wheel set for sale - SOLD

Post by Charles » Sun Sep 19, 2021 3:10 pm

Having upgraded last winter to a set of ALPINA wheels for my winter set, I now have a perfectly functional set of wheels & winter tyres for sale which I have used for many seasons with great effect in the cold, wet, icy and white stuff.

Specifically, they are:
- 17" BMW Style 44 wheels (standard fit for E46 and MAY fit E36 but I cannot confirm this)
- Michelin Alpin PA5 tyres (225/45R17 94VXL rating)
- Pilot Alpins are NOT available for 17" wheels but these are the next best thing in terms of Michelin rubber
- The wheels have ALPINA badged centres and I'm pretty sure that the tyres have at least one more winter season of life in them
- Being a square set, they can be rotated front to back each year to maintain even wear
- There is a bit of minor cosmetic kerb damage on a couple of them but nothing to worry about in terms of functionality (fitting the tyres, balancing and holding pressure for example) - they are a winter set after all!
- I'll even throw in the BMW locking wheel bolts that I used with them.

At the moment they are stacked correctly at the back of the garage and I am happy to dig them out to arrange photos and measurements of remaining tread depth if anyone is interested, but it is easier to gauge general interest first before fighting my way through the accumulated detritus that my family creates behind my back.

I am offering them here first before dropping an advertisement on the FB groups and will be looking for £250 for them - for comparison, a set of wheels alone is about £200 and a set of rubber to go on them is £450, if that helps. If the tyres don't have the tread I think they have then I am happy to drop the price to £200 - effectively for the wheels, locking nuts and ALPINA centre badges.

Over to you - either on here in this thread or via PM.
