With winter tyres things would be as normal.
Cant believe the difference the winter tyres make.
Anyone who says they make little difference hasnt tried them in proper circumstances.
I can get out of the drive and turn into the street without ending up in the gutter at 45 degrees to the traffic. :D

+1 to Phil's comments! I can't beleive that they make this much difference.

Drove to cardiff yesterday in the slush, Sleet pouring like crazy, ice all over the road, most cars stopping and pulling over, the few that carried on twitching all over the place. My M3 tracked straight and true, no twitches or even slightly worring moments. Drove on the untouched ice as well, and apart from the last foot or so, loads of grip!

Really, they are worth every penny!

Careful though! Winter tyres give you no extra grip on black ice as I found out this morning
