Alpina plaque

Post by fone-shack » Wed May 21, 2003 12:29 pm

How about this then:
did the early paques or even UK built cars plaques show Alpina type?
I have seen "BMW/ALPINA B12 5.7 0126"
but the one I am looking at has : "BMW/ALPINA E30 0154" no C1 2.3 on it,
would this be right?
Regards

Jimmy

All I can suggest is contacting Alpina directly with the Plaque details and the VIN. They should have some record of this car even if it was a UK created one.

You should be able to contact them on :

Good luck

Alpina Plaques

The type og plaque fitted will depend on where the car was built/converted.
Buchloe Alpina's will have the other info on, the UK ones will be as per your example.

But basically BMW/ALPINA E30 0154" no C1 2.3 shows:-

This would indicate it is a UK built Alpina, an E30 Model, It is No 154 and it is a C1 2.3 model.
Therefore you have a BMW E30 C1 2.3 Alpina with the 2.3 engine conversion.

You may get info from Sytners in Nottingham, but they only keep their records for so long.
Alpina Germany will no nothing of the UK built cars unfortunatley.
