I wouldn't complain! But why do you believe it shouldn't be? I've only had information about one E9x D3 BiTurbo

What about the TfL checker?

Oh don't get me wrong I'm not complaining, I thought mine shouldn't be compliant because its a pre 2015 dirty diesel so according to all the press so far I shouldn't be compliant then when people started posting there were lots of D3 Biturbo owners saying they had to sell their car or moaning about having to pay the charge.

I received my reply from Alpina yesterday about the NOx emissions of my E39 B10 3.3 Touring. Please see below:-

Many thanks for your mail.

The NOx value of your BMW ALPINA B10 3,3 Touring is

NOx = 0,037g/km

Hope this will help you.

Mit freundlichen Grüßen / Best regards

So, am I correct in assuming that Alpina measure each car individually and keep the the record of their emission? That would explain the variances.
Onto the next step, getting a certificate.

Not sure - seems strange but the important thing is that they are prepared to certify it and you can get exemption from ULEZ charges

I think it makes sense because we know the engines are handbuilt by a single person. As part of quality control each engine would then need to be tested individually and it is inevitaberl that there would be a range in the results. I agree, the important thing is geting the car certified.

Hi there.

I am late to this thread but have been driving my e91 D3 MT in the ULEZ without issue or charge since its inception.

My car didn’t need any special documentation, it automatically came up as ULEZ compliant on the TFL website.

Depending on which database you search my car is listed as either a black BMW or as a BMW Alpina, there is no model specific identification.

Hi Charles,

With the D3 BT - there seems to be a randomness about cars being ULEZ compliant or not. Mine is compliant, 2009 D3 BT, and I believe this is due to the NOX section of my Log book being blank.

Thanks Mark - I had noticed this from several different FB posts on the various groups.

I'll update the database with something appropriate

Thanks for the information - do you have NOx emission values for either of these?

To add to the list

F32 B4 is ULEZ Compliant

Although my E46 B3S is compliant and I have the letter from TFL to confirm this I have received multiple fines and my car is no longer showing as compliant on their database.
