New owner B3 3.3 n499

Hi,

new Alpina owner here.

The car is a 2001 B3 3.3 with the production number 499.

Some specs:
- 6 speed manual
- Alpina cloth interior
- has all the original Alpina parts

The first owner used it from 2001 to 2023, I am the second owner of the car. It runs incredibly good, I did a +500 Km trip with it including autobahn and some mountain roads and it is a delight to drive.

My goal is to restore it to as close as possible to the factory state and use it for weekend drives. Mechanically it is in a very good shape, but it will undergo some treatment for rust protection and the replacement of parts which might fail due to the age (hoses, plastic components in the engine bay etc). The interior will first undergo a detailed cleaning and afterward the parts with visible wear patterns will be corrected/replaced: steering wheel, gear knob, wood trims.

Any suggestions about where I could find some of the above parts are welcomed.

I will keep the original steering wheel untouched and they will create a replica (incudind the Alpina stitching) on a donor wheel. I will post pictures with the results.

I like the seat coverings and door cards too, it makes a change to the standard and usual black leather.

The seat covers are in very good condition; I will only do a detailed cleaning and keep everything as it is.
On the drivers' side, the foam in the seat needs some reworking: on the side you can feel the metal frame beneath, this will be the next todo on the list.

n499 is back from the shop:
- thorough cleaning
- softtouch surfaces repainted
- new armrest
- new steering wheel
- driver’s seat foam repaired
- wood surfaces polished
