Confused about Alpina floor mats

Hello,

I was shopping for E39 Alpina floor mats and came across E31's (pics attached). I'm very interested to get them but they seem off to me as there's no holes for the pin that's used to attach them to the carpeting. Also came across a facebook post from Alpina GB selling E39 mats back in 2018 and they also got no holes.

Did some more research and 850csi floor mats do have the holes and I came across multiple pictures of Alpina mats with the actual holes. Should the holes be punched out by yourself on the Alpina's? I find that very hard to believe.

Any thoughts on this?
