Dealers

Post by M66HOL » Mon Dec 19, 2022 11:06 am

Hi, new to the forum..just in the early stages of considering a new D3 touring. Based in north wales so no dealership is particularly close but Cannock is probably easiest to get to. But it seems on reading some threads that Nottingham and Sheffield seem to get more mentions. Is that just a volume thing or is there an advantage to going there? Any help appreciated.
Thanks
Mark

Welcome to the forum.

Notwithstanding the fact that my local Sytner is walking distance from my house, I got good enough service that I would not feel the need to use an alternative dealer. The advantage of Nottingham though is that Gary Lott, the U.K. brand manager for Alpina, is based there. I had a few queries regarding my spec and also wanted a (minor) bespoke option and the guy I was dealing with locally ran said queries past Gary who in turn had some comms directly with Alpina.

In your position, where it looks like you’d have a 1-2 hour journey to get to the closest Sytner (Tamworth?) I’d probably just make it a 2-3 hour journey to Nottingham.

I’m based in the North East and have ordered a new D5 through Alex at Nottingham, to be fair there was no need for me to visit the dealership as everything has been dealt with over the phone or emails.
B5 G30 number 332 (development car)

D5 number 21

D3MT number 284 (gone but will be sadly missed)
