The Other Messing B10 V8S Touring

Post by Bob » Wed Aug 31, 2022 11:15 pm

After there was some discussion about the whereabouts of #013, I managed to track down the owner and have exchanged a few emails with him.

Turns out this is alive and well, still living in Jersey with it's one and only owner. Has covered 67k miles and is still used regularly.

Nice car

With regards to LCI

My understanding is prior to E60 there is no such thing as an LCI. Just pre-facelift and facelift

As it was first introduced in the E60 range. LCI in the E60 were cosmetic changes and a few tweaks here and there (IIRC), and later a facelift version arrived. This is why a B5 E60 LCI can be upgraded to a B5S (facelift) version.

Somewhere in the 2010s, it seems to me BMW dropped the phase facelift and started to use LCI not sure why

Happy to be corrected
