Very nice 👌

I agree with Brian that gold stripes would’ve been my choice but the silver pairs better with the lighter interior

Lovely spec

I would’ve also gone with the silver stripes as it matches up with the alloy wheel color

On the penultimate photo, Is the image on the iDrive actually configured to match your specification (wheels, paint, stripes, interior etc)? That's a really nice touch if so - My M140i just displays a generic SE 1 series and I've always felt it was a missed opportunity for an easy 'premium-feel' win

Thanks everyone! I get the gold stripes with green but silver wheels and stripes go together better for me.
The correct colour picture of the car is new to me so maybe it started with the LCI. It is a better Alpina green than the configurator manages! The wheels etc are just generic LCI 5 though but it is a nice touch to see the car in your own colour.

Factory options are as follows:

Alpina green - pictures don’t do it justice at all - goes from a black green to a gold flecked bright green depending on light - I have always had dark blues, black and silvers but the range and variation of colour is amazing - just as owners say about Alpina blue too.

Ivory nappa - there is a previous thread on the interior - smoke white merino was cancelled due to Ukraine supply issues so I had to revert to nappa. The ivory probably suits the green better, but they forgot to remove the ventilated seats when changing back, and did not charge me for them. Merino is back on the configurator now.

Embossed headrests - only on the front headrests now, but still a nice detail.

Piano black - I wanted the insignia, so limited options - had it on both the previous D5 and B5 with no scratch problems - I wasn’t brave enough for the Myrtle!

Harman Kardon - B&W was no longer available but this is just fine for my ears. B&W back on the configurator now.

High gloss shadowline - I liked matt silver on the touring, but I prefer this to chrome or silver on a saloon.

High performance brakes - I am sure the standard brakes are more than up to the job, but I just love the look of these! Previous Alpina wheels have been treated with Gtechniq and have been ok to keep clean - not sure if these discs/pads possibly create less dust (or whether it is just the Gtechniq).

Alcantara anthracite headlining and nappa dashboard - makes a big difference to the quality and luxury look and feel of the interior. If there had been an ivory alcantara option I would have preferred that to black, but there isn’t without going to a specialist.

Ceramic finish for controls - these look great and feel very high quality - first specced these on a F11 520d!

Alpina luggage mat - great logo and high quality carpet more like in the boot on a touring - the boot carpets in the saloons are very disappointing this looks much better, well worth it.

Heated steering wheel - once you have had one, essential.

Seat ventilation - avoid - perforated seats, noisy fan, minimal benefit.

Massage seats - excellent.

Glass sunroof - I didn’t want SPG for looks and light reasons but this is actually one of the best ways of minimising heat build up during the day when left on the tilt - it also lets more light in with the dark alcantara headlining.

Folding mirrors, powered tailgate, drive recorder.

Soft close doors - love these - just got to train the family to close them gently.

Icon adaptive headlights with high beam assist - excellent. I specced my last M5 with laser lights but they only work on main beam and when above 50mph ish - the dipped beam is the same as the adaptive LEDs - no benefit to me and I don’t like the neon blue inserts in the headlights on the LCI - they were more subtle before.

Head up display - essential, especially since the demise of round Alpina dials!

Parking assistance plus - I like the top view but this is a compulsory option with the drive recorder which I wanted.

CNC milled aluminium paddles - look and feel brilliant to use compared to the standard paddles.

Silver stripes and chrome boot badges - #009 was a Sytner order in black sapphire/black nappa and came from the factory with badges and silver stripes but I asked for them all to be removed before collection - how times change!
