Stripped out the o/s front wing and wing liner today, found extra little bit of damage to the front inner wing top but this will go back in place 100%. Everything is in fantastic condition so it all stripped apart very easily, and acquired a bonnet and wing in the correct “montego blue”

Good to see you getting stuck in. Q - Are you planning on keeping the car for yourself once its done? If you are have a good look at the washer bottle, I've just had to replace mine as it was getting full of gunk and black mold on the inside. Had mostly blocked the tiny filter, some people say you can clean it out with chemicals etc, but I opted to change mine for long term piece of mind.

Great news on the body panels. How does the suspension look?

Firstly, yes I do intend to keep it, my lad also has his eyes on it lol. The suspension looks fine but i do have a laser 4 wheel aligner so as soon as i can get another front wheel (HELP!!!) it will be checked over, It looks like the wheel took all of the impact..

I think someone mentioned before but Alloy Wheels Direct will sell individual wheels for repair purposes. Worth giving them a shout.

sorry about the wait if you have been following this thread but weather and work have got in the way. To start with after checking and re checking the complete front radiator carrier was bent, stripped it all out and replaced it,all the measurements are now spot on. Managed to use the porta power and straighten the wing top now the driver side wing fits 100% with good shut lines, I will post pictures at the weekend.

Well its taken a few weeks but I am well in to the repair now, firstly i managed to find a complete front bumper with genuine Alpina front spoiler from eBay, bumper was a bit worse for where but the lip spoiler was perfect, I managed to get another perfect bumper( standard SE but correct colour) swapped all parts over and painted the parts myself. just waiting for the brake ducts to turn up this week. The best find of them all was the wheels :dance :dance I searched google for salvaged Alpina D3s and found an old picture from a BMW salvage yard in Northern Island, It was salvaged in 2019. I sent them a message asking if they had a front wheel, they got back to me saying they still had the 3 undamaged wheels from the car, we did a deal and they arrived last week ( so now I have two spare 19in Rear wheels for sale !!!!) various other small parts have turned up and will be fitted ASAP.
The next major thing to tackle is the dent in the rear quarter panel, Looks like im going to have to learn how to use PDR rods....

Great work on the rebuild! I’d be interested in the spare wheel/s if you could drop me a message. Glad to hear you’re keeping it 👍🏻
