D3 F30 #063

Post by Mike130589 » Thu Dec 16, 2021 5:10 pm

I recently became the new owner of #063

14 plate, 71k

Lightly specced with shadowline, Alpina mats and enhanced Bluetooth.

I believe this may be the only F30 D3 in Alpine White? (hopefully Bob can confirm or deny).

Congratulations! That's a great looking car, I think the white really suits it.

It's easy to get hung up on options - I'm as bad as the next person - but even a lightly specced Alpina is still a fantastic car. The chassis more than makes up for any missing options!

Enjoy.

My thoughts exactly, once the windows are tinted and CarPlay is installed I’ll be a very happy boy indeed. I’m pretty much the sole driver so memory seats were not high on my list, I do miss the HK audio though!

Hi, I’m adding a module similar to the Bimmertech MMI Prime to add CarPlay to the existing idrive. You can do a full upgrade to pro nav but is a lot of money when I would still just use CarPlay most of the time

Did you ever fit a CarPlay retro kit? If so which one and provided by which retailer?

I DIY fitted a Carsura a couple of years back, works well:

Pretty sure the other boxes of this type do exactly the same job and are probably churned out at the same factory in China!
