Hi Rav

That's fine, your car is 0.06Nox so bellow 0.08Nox level.

You just need to submit that certificate + V5 on the tfl website.

Thanks Bob and JamieHill. I appreciate the replies.

I am sorry that I didn't quite understand this thread - its confusing if you are not directly involved. I know that many cars are Euro 6 compliant now and hence when i saw Euro 3 - i was panicked.

Sending this off with proof of ownership (or as close as you can get in the UK via V5) today, before anyone in government changes their minds!!!

I wrote off to TfL and sent my CoC. No response. I sent them a chaser to be sure that I had sent it over. I have had a reply back and they have told me that they have a backlog and they are quite behind. So far I am waiting for almost a month.

Sorry for being a dunce....But i have received a letter back from TfL.

After spending the money on the CoC they have rejected it saying that the emissions standards to meet ULEZ limits.

How are you chaps measuring this? I have seen that under 75g of CO2 per Km is under the ULEZ limit. My car far out weighs that.
Strangely - My 2000 MY Boxster S with a 3.2 litre engine was accepted. I am going to compare both CoCs now.

It is just the NOx value that needs to be compliant - less than 0.08g/km.

Perhaps they saw "Euro3" on the Alpina letter and failed to spot the actual NOx value.

I would appeal and make this point

Agreed with Charles

Directly from the official TFL ULEZ website it says:

"Petrol: Euro 4 (NOx)
Diesel: Euro 6 (NOx and PM)

The ULEZ is enforced based on the declared emissions of the vehicle rather than the age. However:

Petrol cars that meet the ULEZ standards are generally those first registered with the DVLA after 2005, although cars that meet the standards have been available since 2001".

The person who checked it may have seen the car is also pre-2001 - don't know. It is anyone's guess but the offical webpage as per the above says nothing about meeting any CO2
