All G2x BMW seem to have a matt centre console panel, even on highend models with the piano trim option (£500).

Yet every G2x Alpina seems to have a gloss centre console panel i.e. where the production badge is stuck.

Is that a standard Alpina thing? Or is this the "Galvanic embellisher for controls" option ... that I didn't spec on my D3 S?

I believe it’s standard. The galvanic embellishment changes the 5 central HVAC buttons and the window switches in the doors from black to silver plastic.
