That looks great. I think you might be the first G2x owner, here on the forum, with Dynamics.

Be interested to know if Alpina specify two sets of tyres pressures for the 19s, as they do the 20s. Comfort pressures for sub-155mph use and standard pressures for up to v-max.

More pictures please.

Beautiful spec. How is the ride quality on the 19’s? Did you test drive one on 20’s?
The ride quality is good, though maybe quite not as hovercraft-like as the reviews would have led me to believe. Another reason I didn’t go for the 20s.

They do have different recommended pressures I’ve got the tyre pressures set for UK, not German, conditions, so about 2.9 bar v 3.4, I think. Could possibly go a wee bit lower too, but it feels pretty good as it is

I’ve got a long trip coming up soon, so I’ll get the car set up properly during that.

I didn’t test drive any cars, so I can’t compare directly.

You might want to start by disabling the steering intervention. (Blame NCAP/EU). Caught me out when test driving B3 & D3S.

Yours being new may already allow you to permanantly disable. Hopefully mine will have this from the factory.

Yes thanks for the tip on the steering. I was warned about it, then forgot, and had a helluva fright when trying to get back into lane after passing a parked car.

It seems to have resolved itself, though. I’ve now got a permanent amber light showing that I’ve disabled it. Not sure why. 😀

This can be a shock when it occurs. Congratulations on the car and a nice combo.

I hope you don’t mind the O/T diversion Hawmaws but there’s a small collection of G2x owners/prospective owners (what would an appropriate collective noun be?) who have commented on this very thread who may or may not need a further heads up regarding the steering intervention issue raised by churchie.

I got this notification via the My BMW App the other day and it directed me to apply the OTA update from within the car. 10 minutes later and the thing can now be permanently disabled. The software version is 03/2021.50.

Do keep us updated on your thoughts on the car.
