Thanks everyone for your help and advice. Ended up with Admiral, who gave a sensible quote (once they’d conceded that a B5 Biturbo existed in 5 door form.....)

Great news - glad you convinced them that they exist. Are you still on to collect this week?

Hello!

I'm quite new to the forum and am on the point of buying a new B5 Touring. I'm finding it very difficult to find an insurer who has even heard of Alpina ("we don't insure grey imports...."), and Adrian Flux has quoted me £1600. I'm in my mid fifties with a clean licence and live in a very rural part of West Cornwall.....does that sound steep? Can anyone here recommend who else I should try, please..?

Many thanks

Jason
I'm in same boat, looking for best insurance deal but most cof the company quoting heavy prices, let me know which company you have opted
