Clearly he is struggling with something - be it organisational or, perhaps, personal - but we don't have the information to say.

In the past, I have had exemplary service from him, so this is clearly unusual.

Given that we don't know what is behind this but it could be something significant, may I suggest we stop posting about delays as I feel the point has been made for any readers and see whether there is anything we can do to help off-forum

Hi Spitfire980,
I purchased 2 sets from Pukar for my D4 ( I only needed 2 off, but got 2 sets - 8 off ).
If you give me your address I’ll post them to you as my D4 has been sold,...... yes I do miss it but no longer do big miles so it had to go.
Cheers
Ross

I ordered on 20th February and have tried everything to check on my order but only received an automatic response. It’s over 3 months now, so can only try to claim back from my credit card. It’s a shame.

In August, its going to be a year since my order and still nothing

Luckily, Rossandrew, sent me his spare set so I finally managed to put the caps on

HI guys,

just want to touch base and apologise for my lack of coms, delays and basically poor service

what's been happening with me, welI take the time to read this….
Over the last 2 years I have had to deal with life changing circumstances. My father went in for what was a common heart operation to replace a heart valve. We all thought it went well, he was discharged but 2 days later he had a cardiac arrest, well he arrested twice. This him in a minimally conscious/vegetative state, on a feeding tube, unable to communicate or move and in a state of limbo. During this time I have had to also care for my mother (who suffered a broken hip during this time), deal with all the legal matters regarding my father to make financial decisions and ones for his health which wasn’t easy as every time something needed to be done we had to seek the courts permission. Throw covid into the mix, everything was a slow process. There was his business interests to take care of, my parents home needed unexpected works etc During this time I had all good intentions to continue with PD, but in hindsight I should have suspended it. I hold my hands up that I have made mistakes over the last 12-18 months. Covid, lock downs have not helped, delayed shipping, items lost etc. Some orders missed, emails ignored, delays from 3rd party suppliers. Then there was my personal life, this has suffered too. A relationship falling apart after 7 years and pressure from the regular job combined with my parents health and things involving them all took their toll on me and it has impacted my metal wellbeing.
When I did have some time to spare (which was rare) I just hid, turned everything off and did nothing. Unable to sleep, unable to rest with constant worrying about stuff and always said “I’ll sort it tomorrow”. Tomorrow became the day after, that became next week, next week was next month.... you get the idea.
Where am I now, well my father passed away late July ago and was recently laid to mid August, and early September I was made redundant from my job (working in civil aviation, so not unexpected). But since I buried my father and certain religious milestones have passed, I have now found peace myself. I have now refocused myself and with a clear head and with the time now available to me I will crack on to clear the mess i have in front of me.
The last 12-18 months I have damaged my reputation, but I hope that the reputation I had before, the 7/8 years of prior service to the community will hold some weight to rebuild the trust I may have lost. I got into this because of my love for the cars and the community. I have many friends in the community, some of them very close friends who i'd like to thank for their support. One thing that’s always made me smile was seeing the builds here, the community spirit because it is a passion that’s been with me for a long time and I’ve been involved with the BMW community for over 20 years and I hope to be a part of it for another 20 years. So, what I’m saying is, Sorry, but I’ll fix what I have broken and thank you again for you patience and understanding.
I want to take this opportunity to again apologise to those who've been left frustrated and thank those who have been understanding and supportive.

Kos, sorry for your loss. That must have been a tough message to write, and for me I can't even begin to imagine how I would have coped with half of what you have been through. Glad you seem to have seen some light appear and wish you the best.

Hi Kos,

I am so sorry to hear about the challenges you have been going through - anyone would find this difficult and family must always come first. The important thing is that you are now able to see the light at the end of the tunnel and I wish you all the best as you begin to move forward again.

As for your reputation - now people know what's been happening then they will completely understand why you have not been in contact. You have a strong reputation with members here and I am certain that everyone will be happy once you are back up and running as the quality of your work speaks for itself.

I am sure that I am speaking for the whole community when I say we look forward to doing business with you again soon.

Take care

Charles

Hi Kos, we exchanged emails earlier and can confirm to all that you are a genuine and honest person who is trying to rectify things. It was a shame not to hear back. I am deeply sorry for your loss.

I completely understand now things have been explained and you are a far better man than I would be myself with all this happening by going back over all the past, even the smallest of orders, it makes your business acumen shine too.

The quality of your work speaks for itself, I’ve been involved in the motoring scene for 40 years and BMW now too for around 22 years and happy to order from you again going on and to support Pukar when I need more or your products. I have said before your wheel badges at least match the quality of genuine items and Alpina should consider you as the OEM supplier.

Warmest Regards
JohnW

I’ve cleared all back orders and ones that I missed (I think) and I’ve just now got to go through the emails and see if I’ve missed any specific/special requests.
I’ve also taken the time to update and add some new items to the website/shop some which will interest you guys
