Welcome to the club and great looking car.

Are you based near Birds, Iver. I'm just the other side of High Wycombe and have family in Uxbridge. If you are around there I'll look our for you.

I'm in a Black E90 D3 BT with Gold Decals.

Mark.

Thanks Mark! I'm not local no - I'm up in Shropshire. I've travelled down to Birds a couple of times now for work due to them being the Quaife distributor and also as they are very well respected. I might be down there again if I decide the B5 needs an LSD although it seems very good so far (in the warm and dry at least).

Thank you. I absolutely adore it!

I washed it tonight for the first time. I can't believe how good condition it's in - it's usually the time that you find any potential blemishes etc. It really is a credit to its former keepers. I'm wondering if it's had a ceramic coating at some point too - the paint, glass and wheels were all super hydrophobic. Was a pleasure to clean. I think the blue is going to be tricky to keep nice though compared to the Space Grey of my old one - it really does show up water marks etc.

Beautiful car. Alpina Blue isn't too bad to keep clean but not as good as Space Grey. Well worth getting some protection on it to keep it easy to clean.
Enjoy!

Looking very glossy but of sun it will flake pop into purple
Re the mud flaps were they on the car? IMHO it detracts the look of the car

Yes, I love how purple it looks in certain lights.

As for the flaps, they were already on but I actually really like them. Hopefully they will provide a bit of protection too....

Looks great Paul, so much better than when I got to drive it.

How did the trim come up in the clean as it looked to have some issues when I saw the car.

Bet it makes you laugh each time you drive it;-)

Looks great, congratulations! I was sorely tempted to swap my F31 for this, but I managed to convince myself to hold out for a G21/G31.

I agree, the mud flaps are a bit marmite, but they will have definitely saved the stone chips. I’m currently thinking about getting the gravel rash sorted on mine.

Yeah there was a dubious mark on the rear seat wasn’t there. I had a good look and it was just something sticky so was confident it would come off OK. To be fair, it’s like a new car now. Even inside the door shuts etc are spotless.

And yes, it’s a thrill every time I drive it. In fact, every time I just look at it!

Previous owner had it professionally detailed
I'm sure it was over £500

It shows. I had in mind that I might look at a ceramic coating to make it easier to keep nice, but it's certainly not required for a while. You will have to thank him for keeping it so nice for me!

If I had kept my B5 BT I would have fitted a LSD, I found it very squirrelly under hard acceleration, you could feel it wind itself up then would slip sideways, then bang off you go :D

Does the F11 have the opening rear glass like other BMW Tourings?
Does your B5 have comfort seats? Can one adjust the side bolsters for width?
