Speed limited new cars....

Post by rodbargee » Tue May 07, 2019 1:14 pm

With the advent of speed limited new cars in the offing, does having a near 200MPH vehicle make it more or less attractive to the car driving enthusiast

Nice to see the forum back on its wheels thanks to all those who have had to spend the last few days Under the bonnet so to speak :D

More attractive as it appear to only apply to certain new cars from a date in future and is alleged to be able to be switched off.

E 60 - 530D new - sold at auction
E 39 - 520i new - sold at auction

Will be overrideable with the throttle and controlled by a stop button on the dash from what I hear.
