Hi everyone
I've been away but have now got the car moved.I am told that it is in remarkably good condition given the time it has been off the road.As it was being moved Mr Luke Storrer who is a self confessed Alpina devotee happened along. He is a mechanic who has apparently restored/rebuilt and prepared race cars he told me the car is in really good condition and summed it up by saying
"its like walking to the bottom of the garden and finding a unicorn"
The car started using fresh fuel after 15 minutes of gentle persuasion and I am told runs as sweet as a sewing machine.the gear box is smooth and appears to be all OK though it was only given a very gentle outing. All the major electrics appear to be good, windows sunroof clocks etc.I have taken photos of the removal and will take some more when she's had a wash and brush up by then i hope to be able to share them with you.If AG (Alpina Guru in my book) could let me have copies of the info from Sytners that would be great, I will of course pay for copying and p&p.Now for the interesting bit.I'll try to keep you posted and no doubt will be asking for help and advice in abundance!!

Hap has seen the car and heard it running and has posted some photos for which I am grateful. AG suggested that I contact him via social media but I don't do it. Can we correspond via email?
Will keep you posted.

Hi everyone, my very clever son-in-law has been able to post these images. They show the car in the garage, being moved and after it had received a wash and brush up. The car starts on the key and so far as we can see all electrics are working perfectly. Just thinking now what the next steps should be. I do have a short video of the car running and will try and post this (or persuade my son-in-law to post this) in the near future.
Thanks for your interest and help.
