The car looks amazing. The Alpina blue really pops post the detailing.

The interior is very special and I have never seen the blue and green stitching on a newer car (other than the steering wheels). I had it on my B8 and seeing yours takes me back. For me you can't beat the classic blue and green rhombs, be they on mats, door cards, seats or headrests!

Great thread, thank you, and what a beautiful car. I love everything about this car; the colour (of course, I may be a little biased), and that interior. Just wow. You keep the car in amazing condition and you would never know that it has covered the distance it has. Fabulous.

I've really enjoyed reading these updates - the car is an absolute credit to you. I can't believe the results renovating the leather on the arm rest, fantastic.

I love the Alpina stripes - I can't wait to get mine done. Appreciate you posting the photos. I think having the car detailed before and then ceramic coated after was a great idea too. It looks sensational.

I really hope I get to see it in the metal at some point next year - would be so good to see ours parked together.....

Perfect job on the leather and keeping that stitching original and Simons decals look great. Now get that V8S finished!

Thank you Frosty. I also love the blue/green highlights and they really stand out against the leather as it's so light.
One thing I've noted is the style of rhombs on my car's seats isn't seen any more. It was more common on earlier models, but the F1* appears to be the last time they've done it and even then it's very rare. Most F1* cars have either no rhombs (just Alpina badge) or have them on the headrest
Any pics of the interior on your old B8?

Thanks LL. Your car is the best new iteration of my spec I've seen, look after it so I can buy it off you

Asim, Over the years I have looked at pictures of Alpina Blue cars with silver and gold stripes and each time keep changing my mind over a preference as they both look great. Seeing both side by side might be the only way but what chance of that!

Frosty, lovely interior! Very befitting a B8 8)

John, on Alpina Blue definitely silver. But gold on black (my V8S is Black Sapphire) could look good.
I personally think E39s suit decals even better than the modern cars.

I agree with this - don't think I've seen gold on Alpina Blue, but on black it will be the full JPS look!

Plenty of examples of Gold Dekor on ALPINA Blue in the Japanese market and there are a few cars that have made it over to the UK. Works best with gingercators for me and I also think the choice of gold or silver depends on your interior colour. I prefer gold but because #062 has light grey leather I think it should probably have silver if it gets stripes at some point.
