Hi people, I had been looking at getting a d3 for quite some time to replace my 320cd m sport. The 320cd I have had for nearly 8 years and has been such a great car.
I was lucky to spot a d3 local for sale but in was not quite up to my standard of cleanliness . After haggling for a few day's I finally come to a agreement on price and collected the car.
The car is a d3 bi turbo coupe MT number 75 with full black leather. the first thing I done when I got it back home was order some new bmw badges and some new alpina decals in silver. I wont be fitting the decals until I get the front end painted due to some stone chips. The wheels are being sent off tomorrow for a referb now bmw has supplied me a locking wheel nut key which was missing. I'm replacing all the brakes with some new genuine items and mite referb the calipers in royal blue. I've got some h8 led bulbs to fit and then finally a mega detailing weekend when I'm aloud !

I was going to take them to wheel works in bury st Edmunds but now I'm taken them to aerocoat in Lowestoft as I've been told lots of good reports about them.
I went to remove the wheels last night but there was no locking wheel nut key in the car so I had to go to bmw tonight for them to match it. lucky they had one in stock and it was only £8

fitted a alpine ezi dab bt unit to the d3bt tonight, great add on for the existing head unit to get dab radio and to connect my iPhone. siri can be activated through it to do voice request and messaging. the main controller is wireless so can be placed anywhere on dash. I've mounted it on the dash with Velcro so it can be removed easy. main input in to standard headunit is through aux plug and dab pick up ive mounted in the top n/s of front screen. what I love about this unit is lack of wires and looks so clean !!!! 
the standard stereo system is very basic. due to the poor sound ive fitted a apine 8" active subwoofer. ive asked today at bmw about the bmw alpine upgrade kit. this kit is for the front doors and tweeters and a amp and new stereo loom. but for now the new sub had transformed the sound and being a 8"sub not overpowering
