How do I find out?

Post by Avtar » Fri Feb 26, 2016 11:35 am

Hi All,

I need to help to answer two questions:

1. How do I find the full specification of my Alpina?
2. I want to buy a Alpina Wind Deflector for my E93, how would I find out the part number?

Many Thanks

I think I can help with the first one!

Give your key to your friendly BMW dealer for him to insert in the key reader.
Ask him for a print out.
When I did this on a previous car it gave a list of all options fitted when built.

Hope this helps.

Probably worth clarifying that you will need the last 7 digits of the BMW VIN (starts WBA..) and not the VIN on the log book starting WAP...

Easiest place to find it is on the nearside bottom of the windscreen.

Regarding the second question.......
I ordered a wind deflector from Sytner Nottingham 2 weeks ago.
I ordered it in the showroom, but i'm sure you could do the same over the phone.
I was £380 for a B6 one 8)

Interesting, when i enquired i was advised that i have to buy the wind deflector, (£380) which then has to be send to Alpina (postage cost ?), Alpina will then charge £140 for the logo addition and then passage costs to me of £?

Sorry for the wrong info...............
After a mix up I sent my deflector back to Nottingham because it was plain.
I was informed yesterday that it has now been sent to Alpina, and another 129 will be charged for the logo to be applied.
It's not costing me extra postage, as it will be sent with the new mats that the garage promised me when I purchased the B6 8)

I waited 3 months for a drivers mat through Sytner. Paid well in advance also!

How you finding the B6?

Awesome!
Only driven it twice....once to take her home, and an hour or so a couple of weeks ago. Between holiday, and work I've not had a chance.
At least it's keeping the milage low

Planning on a trip to Germany in June, so I'll get a good drive over and back then 8)
