How utterly infuriating. Swear
Good job you'd got a spare laying around as no amount of Tyreweld was ever going to fill that.
Expect the fitter was an average buzz gun monkey, more used to steel rims.
Out of curiosity what profile are your tyres and what pressures do you run at?

And have the tyre fitters offered to compensate to put right?
After what happened to me recently I’m being positive as I can worse things happen least the whole rim wasn’t buckled and scrap as others have been unlucky

Was lucky to have a new spare winter 255/35R20. Run at 2.5bar.

Council will be getting a claim sent in shortly for the tyre damage.

I suffered a far worse pot hole damage on a rear softline in the B8 years ago, that actually put a "V" on the inside of the rim. At Xmas up in Staffs with car fully loaded, pouring rain, a real pain to unload the car to access the full size spare!

Bit of a pre-road trip shakedown. All good.
(Still got the centres, just hadn’t refitted after checking tyre pressures)

That could well be the first picture I've seen of your B3 Bob - what an absolute beauty!

Probably is, she’s not been out much since Gayden ‘19. It’s the never ending project. :D

Yes, heading to Arran for a week. Should be about 750 miles all in.

Popped to Goodwood Aerodrome cafe for breakfast as we were local. Car is currently in full holiday filth mode!

Looking good Matt!

I cleaned mine today to remove the filth gained from 2 weeks on holiday. I hadn't had chance until now. The wheels were black with brake dust. Next job is to vacuum all the sand from the inside - we probably have half of Cornwall in there!

Weather is improving gradually but miles of rainy, island roads mean she’s looking a bit used
