That's a great photo Simon - love the front wheel slightly off the ground! It's been years since I last went, would love to go back....

Just got back from a trip to see my family in Cumbria in the B5. We had some unexpected changes to the plans en route and ended up doing St. Moritz to Cumbria in one go, taking turns of the driving. Did 1700 km in 22 hours, including time in the tunnel and whilst not feeling fresh, certainly not feeling too bad.

Over the 4000km of the trip, mostly motorway but also local driving and some time making good progress on the autobahn we averaged just under 30mpg which feels like a good result.

Not sure I can think of a car that I'd prefer to do such a journey in.

I've forgot to say, Ring trip/ track day went ok. Some loose rear wheel nuts after a 15 minute session on the GP circuit meant and i had my front brakes on fire and things getting a bit hot and loose! I had some rubbing on some bumpy bends with the Ohlins but some playing pretty much sorted it. Its alot quicker in certain sections of the track now. It took some time to re adjust my mind but in a good way. Apart from that car was ok, lapped pretty quick and pulled 32 mpg on the drive there and back and the air con blew cold. I can't ask for more
Great photo Simon, very cool :D

Not been on the Nordshcleife for years- would that photo be Wipperman?

Picked it up from the dealer after getting an oil change, 4 new summer tyres, wheel alignment and a new gearshift module.

And tomorrow I’ll be on a road trip from Berlin to Prague then Munich, then Lugano and then Milan and back again. It’s my birthday weekend and I wanna drive those Alpine passes and enjoy the good wether.

I’ll report back next week how it goes

Do check the passes before going. It's too early for most of them to be open (usually later June).

Said goodbye to #100. After 7 great years it has gone off to its new home, the new owner is already a member here.
Happy to know it is leaving me in a better condition than when I got it and gone to a good home and fellow enthusiast. No doubt I will return to Alpina ownership yet again in the future and will pop by from time to still no doubt.
