… and more coding today, in support of the 8.8 inch screen I fitted. Looks better than the poverty 6.5 inch one.churchie386 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 31, 2022 4:48 pmCoded the car to display tyre temperatures in addition to pressures. Just need to test.

Excellent upgrades churchie
Re: What did you do in your ALPINA today?
Is it as simple as fitting the bigger screen and some re-coding Churchie?

Re: What did you do in your ALPINA today?
Yes - took me about an hour (most of which was working out how to disconnect wiring to the hazard switch and removing/refitting the upper trim).
It certainly lifts the cabin and no longer does it look short changed. Granted the business nav lacks some of the professional nav features, but I imagine even pro nav from 2014 is dated compared to Apple CarPlay … a retro fit of which is on the cards now I have the wide screen (not essential for CarPlay, but nice to have).

Re: What did you do in your ALPINA today?
Ah, i thought it was a full upgrade to pro-media, not just a wider screen. Still worthwhile as it takes away the obvious visual clue.

Churchie, do you know if this would be codeable on the NBT "NEXT" HDD in the F11?churchie386 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 31, 2022 4:48 pmCoded the car to display tyre temperatures in addition to pressures. Just need to test.

I fitted a box to my D5 almost 2 years ago - still going strong and a very worthwhile upgrade if you want to use Google maps and Spotify in a fully integrated way on the main screen.churchie386 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 03, 2022 9:54 am… a retro fit of which is on the cards now I have the wide screen (not essential for CarPlay, but nice to have).

My 2012 D5 has always shown temps and pressure, if it's not showing on your F11 Frosty then I'll be amazed if it's not codeable through the usual coding apps.Frosty wrote: ↑Mon Sep 05, 2022 9:57 amChurchie, do you know if this would be codeable on the NBT "NEXT" HDD in the F11?churchie386 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 31, 2022 4:48 pmCoded the car to display tyre temperatures in addition to pressures. Re: What did you do in your ALPINA today?
On my F31, BimmerCode shows the Head Unit as NBT, though strictly it HU_EntryNav. Your F11 is NBT Professional so I don't see why it couldn't be coded. Tyre temp (+ pressures) is standard coding offering on BimmerCode so it should just work. One thing I did note is, when coding the head unit it will lose any programmed hot-keys, but service history (mine is BMW and BMR) is all retained. Also I now note rear right is always 3 degrees C higher than rear left, despite pressures being the same and rising/falling in sync. I suspect the right rear temperaute sensor is a bit off. Will confirm with my lazer thermometer.Frosty wrote: ↑Mon Sep 05, 2022 9:57 amChurchie, do you know if this would be codeable on the NBT "NEXT" HDD in the F11?churchie386 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 31, 2022 4:48 pmCoded the car to display tyre temperatures in addition to pressures.
