That is a very tidy engine bay, looks like new. Something to aspire to, I will need to raise my game.
This the stuff you need John
I got some of that not so long ago and have only used it on the engine cover so far after I re-fixed the 4.8 badge and it brought it up really well. Will need to splash it all over as old 'enry used to say. Results look impressive though.

Major service and health check done today. Booked back in next week for a few warranty items too, always nice to get some value out of the warranty.

Also booked a full correction detail and ceramic coating in April, can’t wait to get the paintwork de-swirled!

Went to my not so local Indie for an intermediate oil & filter change with VHC.
9 lts of Shell Helix Ultra ECT 5-30w pure plus went in and a genuine BMW filter used.
All good except advised front NS tyre wearing on outer, front OS tyre wearing on inner. (all be it slight)
Next, rear bumper tattooed with her name before erroneously adding 20 lts of 95 octane to an almost dry tank.
Drove like an absolute dog in traffic, very lumpy, jerky, stuttering and hesitant. Decided the best thing to do was burn it all off and brim with V-Power.
I did; took no time at all!

Was out in the E46 B3 3.3 wagon for a bit then back to back jumped into the E90 D3 Biturbo. Steering in the E46 is a chunk heavier and so much nicer in terms of feel and feedback. Both running 235/35/19 PSS so difference isn't down to the tyres. Does the E90 D3 Biturbo have electronic assisted steering ?

To be honest I wasn’t sure of it at first but it’s grown on me very much now it’s cleaned up (with pears soap)

Usually I prefer all black but this does “feel” right.

Busy day with the D3 Biturbo
Trying to make it more of an Alpina and got rid of the drab 1/2 leather interior and binned the silver trim.
Sourced a reasonable m-sport oyster leather seat of seats and door cards so spent the day swapping it all out.
Also got some BMW wood trim possibly myrtle, can't remember but it complements the newer seats nicely and makes the car a much more pleasant place to be

Very nice that. Alpina sill covers in the rear also. IIRC my V8s touring had illuminating Alpina covers in the front and boggo BMW ones in the rear

B10 passed its MOT yesterday, but got this advisory which seemed a bit mean: TRANSMISSION SUMP PAN CORRODED

It was on my to do list as I thought it made the underside look a bit tatty but even so!
