Ordered it!

Post by Paulb » Wed Jul 15, 2015 11:13 pm

Spent the past couple of days down Nottingham and whilst we were there spent a couple of hours in Sytners spec'ing out and ordering a new D3 BT touring

Just got to wait for confirmation of when it's due to be ready and then we'll be off to Buchloe to collect it and blog about it on the way back.

So which spec did you go for?

Went for the following;
Havana paint
Oyster leather with black lower dash
Piano black
Business Advanced sat nat
Enhanced bluetooth
Harmon Kardon audio upgrade
Privacy glazing
gloss black shaddowline
19" alloys
electric memory seats
Head Up Display
folding & dimming wing mirrors

I was going to add the rear diff and digital monitor but both of these are cheaper to be added to the car AFTER which seems very odd.

I would certainly check out retro fit price of a LSD, I was quoted by Alpina 6000 euros plus fitting for one to be fitted to my E92 B3S.
I have one on my B4 and it was only £1890, best option I have had.
All Alpinas should have one as standard, you can actually put the power down :D

Sorry I should have said, it would be a Quaiffe unit that would be being fitted at £1576 inc fitting and VAT.

The Alpina digital display would be £530 fitted.

The quotes I received from Birds for a LSD fitted to an Alpina were much more than a standard BMW.
Also I would rather have the Drexler LSD that Alpina fit, suits the car much better.
Are you sure the price you were quoted includes VAT, if not having it fitted from new would be cheaper

Hi Paul,

Whilst you can't see what it will look like on the ALPINA configurator yet, the BMW configurator is updated now so you can see the new interior. Is Havana a standard BMW colour or Individual?

I am in the queue already and have been told it should be ready late August, so will probably take in on Sept 1.

Cheers Guy (and everyone else). We saw a Havana saloon in the flesh and a 7 series in the same colour combination which looked really nice.

Sytner have a new touring ordered as a demo due in September, which makes me think they will be offering some great discounts on the White touring demonstrator that they still have.

What spec did you plump for then Guy?

Cool! 8)

What's Havana?

I love the HUD and HK - good choices! BTW you can get the HUD to show lanes like on the main nav but for me it would have to be "coded" to do so - if you want that maybe worth checking it's like it "from the factory".

Havana metallic - in bright sunlight it looks like a dark gold where as in dull conditions it looks closer to black. Google F31 LCI Havana

And just realised I'd missed Speed limit display from my spec so had to call Sytners to get it added. Split fold rears on the touring are standard 40-20-40. And the latest Business Advance media includes the 3D maps, just not the live traffic or input idrive controller (where you can write the postcode on it).
