Hi,
Just thought I'd share a few pictures of my Alpina B3BT. Had it a few weeks and it's all starting to make sense.
Cheers,
Bryan

Beautiful beautiful car. Colour choice is sublime.
I've always had a soft spot for a black BMW...yours is just plain SEXY.
The dark exterior over light coloured leather is what I chose for my Alpina, and quite frankly with that engine, I'm absolutely loving that.
Congrats on a fine purchase...hope you continue to enjoy mate.

fab car .I'm dead envious!!!
Very nice combination indeed. You have a beautiful shine on the Carbon black (?) and the paint looks pretty flawless I'm very jealous.
I would love a lighter interior but my kids are monsters and it wouldn't stay light for long.
Enjoy.

Wow, thanks for the welcome and the kind remarks folks.
The paintwork is in excellent condition overall. There are a couple of stone chips (that I can live with) on the bonnet, but also a scuff on the rear bumper where someone has been clumsy when taking something out of the boot and also someone has been careless with a ring or keys around the driver's door handle. They will get sorted at some point. I can tell that it hasn't had many supermarket auto-washes though as swirl marks are at a minimum. Will make it worthwhile spending the extra time with the two bucket wash.
The performance of these cars is well documented, so the main positive thing that surprised me is the way it turns into corners. There's no delay while you wait for the weight to equalise and then correct the steering - it just stays flat and true, so you can judge the power without worrying about any steering correction you've missed. Also love the way the it WILL NOT CHANGE UP until I tell it to. Previous BMW autos I've driven have been incredibly frustrating by changing when I don't want them to.
I also have kids, but have done my best to protect the interior, with padded mats underneath their seats and protectors on the back of the front seats. This has worked well in previous cars, but (as my wife's car shows) you have to keep on top of their mess, otherwise new lifeforms will appear and take over! Oh, and don't get me started on the myth that families can't have two door coupes - they have big boots, the kids can't open the doors (because there aren't any!) and you can step into the car while you strap them in, rather than out in the rain or on the road, plus you plonk them in front of you, rather than twisting your back to get them in 90 degrees from where you're facing! Grrrr!
Anyway, I'm waffling now, but thanks again for the comments.
Cheers,
Bryan

Your rear seats look very familar to mine with two seats for the offspring. Mine aren't in it that often however I find it easy enough for getting them in and out. I've also taken steps to protect the interior which similar mats and also seat back protectors.
