Air conditioning

Post by ollieebmw » Mon Aug 06, 2012 10:46 am

Greetings

Well it's that time to top up the air conditioning and wondering if there is any particular place to go. Preferably somewhere which understands Alpina's. Don't want the kwik fit option as they tend to find any faults and say you need to repair that as well. Is is straight forward and is there likely to be anything else that might need doing? Sugestions please and cost would be appreciated.
On another note my air bag light has come on after washing my car. Don't know why. Could this be a sensor or do I have to take it to the steelers.
Cheers gang

Air Con

Post by Mike Pitt » Mon Aug 06, 2012 2:48 pm

I've been trying to find out the quantity of gas needed for my B12 without success.

I presume it's the same as the equivalent 7 Series.

Anyone know?

There is a sticker that is normally on the front slam panel with what type of gas & the volume of gas the car takes, normally yellow or green. Hope this helps.

Greetings...
Had the Alpina charged up with gas and all was good. The guy explained every detail as he went through the process. Had to put the gas in two stages because machine only can throw in 1000 at a time and |I needed 1200. Air con cool as you like. He did ask me at the begining if i had a unit front and rear. Has any Alpina got this?. I think he was amazed at the amount you had to put in. Got dye and anti bacterial done as well, included in the price. Can't fault the service and a job well done by Mike. Cool runnings
