Tom posted about the new B5 Bi-Turbo
#ALPINA #b5 27.8 mpg Nottingham to central London. Don't think that's too bad for a 500bhp v8. pic.twitter.com/14nsf32j
Still love the dash
B5 and mpg
I must admit I was totally shocked in the mpg return I got from the B5 when running in the new engine
I know that the B5 was kept to a very low speed (40 to 50 mph) but returned a surprising
34mpg over 500 miles
That has now all changed but returns are not to bad @ 26 mpg and that’s overall
I can understand where you could drop to the high teens but I want to keep my licence so right foot is well under control
The B5 is just a pure beast that if you don’t control will cost you in both mpg and points but if you drive it to the speed limits you will return the high 20s but it is the fun you get when you push
the metal to the floor
