D3BT E9* Wanted
D3BT E9* Wanted
Hi Folks
Looking for a D3BT, not fussed about shape as it's going to be a 2nd car for pleasure purposes only.
Something that has been well looked after and pampered.
Auto preferable but would consider manual.
Many thanks, Alan

Hi Bob, thanks for the reply, I have done a bit of looking and so far this is what I can see available to buy today.
2008 E92 #91 Black Coupe 94k FSH, 2 former keepers £8990 Dealer (reduced by 4k!) Seems like good value for a well looked after car
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-ALPINA-D ... rk:26:pf:0
2010 E90 #? Blue Saloon 50k (dash photo says 114k?), Unknown History, 2 former keepers £14.7k Dealer, seems pricey to me
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2010-60-BMW- ... rk:51:pf:0
2010 E92 (lux) #210 White Coupe 113k, FSH, Unknown previous owners, £10475 Dealer, not a bad price for a very well specced car, also has heated full alpine badged leather, maybe higher miles that I hoped for.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2010-10-BMW- ... rk:60:pf:0
2011 E90 #?, White Saloon 45k, FSH, 1 owner, £16k Dealer, nice 1 owner car with low miles and dealer overpricing it, been on sale a long time.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2011-11-BMW- ... rk:61:pf:0
2009, E92 #93, Blue coupe, 117k, Part service history, 5+ Owners, £7750, Dealer, nice looking car but images are low res, has performance wheel (gimmick?) and not sure if interior is full leather, listed as manual but is an auto. 6 Months warranty, Great price but higher miles with a lot of owners and not full history. Been on sale a while. Dealer gets good reviews and with 6 months warranty this maybe worth a gamble.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-Alpina-D ... rk:67:pf:0
2009, E90 (lux) #?, White Saloon, 79k, FSH unknown previous owners, £14k, Dealer. Looks great in pictures and incredible spec (for an Alpina), lux, performance wheel, rear entertainment, towbar, heated leather, dealer not replying to emails though and it’s not listed on their website, so could be sold.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2009-White-B ... rk:72:pf:0
2008 E92 #? Grey Coupe, No History CAT C!!!, 59k, £8k, Dealer. Dealer has a terrible rep, they also have nothing on the car or the repaired accident damage, good mileage and decent spec but it’s been on sale for a long time and the Stay away warnings all over this car.

2009 E90 #114 Black Saloon,FSH, 3 Owners, 123K, £7250, Dealer. High miles but decent price, been played with, Alpina badged yet none were, aftermarket tablet and sound system and the front end looks like it has had a bad paint job, maybe just the pictures. Performance wheel

2010 E90 #210 Red Saloon, FSH 2 owners, 73k, £12K Dealer, lowish miles with non heated leather, not bad price for a dealer

2012 E90 #? Black Saloon, FSK, unknown owners £59k £14k Dealer, low miles.

I seem to have just missed a good deal with a E91 (lux)56k in EH Ipswich, believe the owner traded the car at £11k and EH sold at £12k
I have never owned an Alpina before, almost purchased a Roadster 3.4s back in 2013 but opted for an SLK32 instead, was an excellent car but 2 seats and a new arrival to the family meant I sold earlier this year. I have a 2018 120d m-sport with xdrive and this is our main car and has all sorts of extras like proff nav and active cruise, I find the performance ok but the run flats are horrible, it’s certainly not a patch on the SLK32, hoping the D3BT can deliver more practicality while also being a bit more fun to drive, it won’t be used for day to day driving as I have van for business purposes.

Looks like a nice car with a very honest description. Probably over my budget for a private car, given what else is available.ade and liz flint wrote:*ahem* Great colour (no bias )Fastidious owner....known on here. Worth a look?
I do like grey BMW`s, had a grey 330D E92 coupe back in 2007 and loved the car, stupidly traded it for a TT. The 120D is in mineral grey (shadow edition) and it's a lovely thing, especially with 2 coats of exo on top.

In my honest opinion, he's asking a bit too much, but it's a forum members' car and therefore probably better than most in the meat market. It's also an uber rare lux auto touring: desirable.Tedi wrote:Looks like a nice car with a very honest description. Dash pod in pic IS NOT an ALPINA pod. Not even a BMW.....Trader has left an old pic from another car in when he built his listing.Tedi wrote: 2010 E90 #? Blue Saloon 50k (dash photo says 114k?), Unknown History, 2 former keepers £14.7k Dealer, seems pricey to me

Interestingly, the dealer this was up with previously also had an incorrect dash/mileage photo. From memory that was a Citroen C1.ade and liz flint wrote:Dash pod in pic IS NOT an ALPINA pod. I would say a fair price would be £10.5k - £11k given that it needs a few things to make it perfect.ade and liz flint wrote:In my honest opinion, he's asking a bit too much, but it's a forum members' car and therefore probably better than most in the meat market. Do you think these cars have stopped depreciating yet, the lower mileage ones are all with dealers at what I would consider high prices (14k+) but going by VOSA history and last taxed dates they all seemed to have been on the market for a while, some over a year. The one at Evans Halshaw was moved on fairly quickly at 12k.
I would say they've still got potential to depreciate some more, just consider the D3 MT's which are seeing some examples change hands in the trade sub-£4k (maybe £3k). That said, there are also D3 MT's advertised at £9k.Tedi wrote:I would say a fair price would be £10.5k - £11k given that it needs a few things to make it perfect.ade and liz flint wrote:In my honest opinion, he's asking a bit too much, but it's a forum members' car and therefore probably better than most in the meat market. There is plenty of evidence that the cycle time to shift some of these cars is very long, but that said, they often find a home eventually:
E90 #354 sold at 39k and last advertised at £13,990 (LUX)
E90 #396 sold at 63k and last advertised at £13,750
E91 #292 sold at 96k and last advertised at £11,990 (LUX)
E91 #339 sold at 47k and last advertised at £15,480
B3 3.2 TOURING #062
This is quite telling of the D3 MT market:
D3 #454 - this is the second auction i've seen and its only getting to mid £3k. On paper it seems a reasonable car in fair condition and sensible miles. The seller appears to have purchased in late Jun-18 from a trader in Yorkshire who last advertised it at £7k. Wonder why he's selling "Probably the best car i have owned so far!" after 4mths
