WANTED: F31 D3

Post by jamesr » Wed Jun 02, 2021 12:09 pm

I'm on the look out for a F31 D3 touring. I'm aware of the one for sale at Carrera - and actually quite like the colour combo - but feel that the price was much more reasonable a month ago at £22k :D

So if anyone is interested in selling or is aware of any others that are available, please give me a heads up.

Cheers.

Well worth considering this one if you like your toys, it's probably the most optioned example of an F31 D3 in the UK.

Yeah it definitely ticks all my boxes spec wise, just not sure what would be considered a reasonable price with 100k miles. Any thoughts?

I'd expect it to be £21-22k or thereabouts. Tourings seem to hold a slight premium over saloons. I recall the green F31 recently being up for more at the same mileage. Not sure what it eventually sold for mind you.

If I was to put mine on he market, with 70 k miles, I'd hope/expect it to be £26-27k ish.

Thanks Matt, i was thinking about £21k ish as well.

I was looking in to getting one about 2 years ago but had to put my search on hold. In all honesty i was expecting the prices to have come down a bit more, as i could have sworn higher mileage examples where coming up between £18 - 21k back then.

James,

I think prices for all second hand cars have firmed up over the last 6-12 months. Great for a seller, not so much for a buyer. Hope the search comes to fruition sometime soon.

Yes, i was reading somewhere the other day about an increase in demand for used cars due to a shortage of new cars (because of a semi-conductor shortage). Which in turn has started to push the prices up.

Love the spec, but I'm still on the fence about this one due to the previously mentioned 'gap' in the service history. As you say, if not this one, i'm sure something will come up sooner or later.

I haven't confirmed yet, but it looks like #055 to me.
#136 is an LCI on a 2015/65-plate and doesn't have the red stitched Black Dakota leather ... so not that one.

Shame it has poverty-Nav, but there are plenty of upgrade options now so just see it as a good excuse. Seems like reasonable value given James Paul sold #061 with 63k miles not long back and that only had 19's, no LSD or electric seats but it did have a leather dash and front PDC
