Is yours the Silver E93 I used to see passing through Davidson mains a lot and I think it resides newar Dean Village.
Also do you use RD Motorsport in Newbridge as Rob was telling me about an E93 Alpina he looks after when I had mine in there recently?
Small world......
That'll be us, small world indeed!!!

I use Rob at RD Motorsport after Eastern BMW left tools in the engine bay of another BMW we own, service department isn't what it once was is all I'll say...

Latest update from Alpina is it should be a 335i MSport spring for an E93, and they can’t understand why it doesn’t fit.

Still don’t believe this as all the other E9X B3’s run a specific Alpina spring (which fits the Alpina top mount).

Still no further forward…

Alpina in Buchloe (Mr Kratzer) is who I’ve been in dialogue with. This was Friday’s email response:
Thanks for your patience.
We have checked this issue once more and the correct spring is 31 33 6 767 380.
It might could be that someone has changed the existing spring (in your car) in the past and therefore the spring looks different....
Will try and call him on Monday.

Only other thing is maybe the 335i MSport spring we got sent is incorrectly labelled and isn’t the correct part.

Thanks for the picture of the Alpina springs, they look wider at the top unlike the 335i MSport spring, so tempted just to order some B3 Coupe springs, if we get nowhere on Monday.

B10BRW has an E93 B3S and is looking for new front dampers. I've asked him to have a look at the spring part numbers while he has his head under there. Can't see why the E93 B3 and E93 B3S wouldn't share the same spring

Update…

Well, after 3 weeks of fun and games, we’ve worked out that BMW haven’t labelled their springs correctly :doh :doh :doh

So for anyone in the future, order 10 springs from your local dealer to ensure you get at least a couple of the correct parts!

For the record, as confirmed directly from Alpina, the E93 Alpina B3 does run a standard BMW front spring - Part Nr 31 33 6767 380

Thanks for all the assistance.

Cheers

Great news that you finally got to the right parts. Thank goodness ALPINA know what parts they fitted.

Now they don’t know what that rogue spring belongs, but good to know there isn’t an error by Alpina and it’s sorted

Had my new shock absorbers fitted today, unfortunately no sign of any numbers on either spring :?

Thanks for checking.
Problem has been resolved as per other thread and the E93 B3 Biturbo just uses a standard 335i spring Strange that the other 3 variants all use Alpina specific ones but there we have it
You'll be looking forward to getting the car back post suspension refresh.
