Small oil substance patch rear offside e46 B3s?

Post by hap » Wed Oct 20, 2021 9:13 am

Backed out garage and noted oil on floor
Is this likely to be diff output seal ? Or leaking shock ? Will monitor and get it checked out by garage if more tomorrow

you 100% sure the leak originated from that area? would be really surprising if there is a drip from the output seal or shock. they usually weep first and you would have seen signs before?

is it def oil and not brake fluid?

get it on a ramp - wonder if its a failing seal/crush washer on diff drain plug or maybe input shaft seal. no biggie either way but best to get it inspected
