My rear dampers were an advisory on the last MOT, and so looking at the applicable Alpina parts list that I got from a URL mentioned on this forum, I see that it shows there are THREE rear dampers that are specific only to the convertible version ( B3R ).
... I am arranging for these to be replaced, but I have never actually been underneath the rear of my car as yet to see for myself, so I wonder at the functionality of this third damper.
Perhaps it is to control axle-tramp and/or stop the convertible body shell flexing too much ?
If this is the case, would it not also be a good mod for E90/91/92 ?
.. does anyone know the answer to this ?

X1 2.0 Twin-Scroll Turbo xDrive #zillion (F48) ... really useful, if only an XB1 existed !
--- but when you are up to your ears in alligators it can be relatively difficult to remember that your original idea was to drain the swamp --- hmmm
