Hi guys , my lovely B3 is making a constant clicking noise from the steering wheel when turning left or right , does it past a quarter turn , and is relentless. Any ideas what it could be ? As I am completely stumped and have no idea where to even begin diagnosing this.
Any and all help is greatly appreciated !

Not got any useful ideas, but I'd expect it to be a more generic E46 issue than unique to ALPINA. Have you checked out any E46 forums?

Certainly an E46 issue - perhaps related to the slip ring.
As suggested, a generic E46 forum will have more input as the volume of cars/owners will be significantly more than here.
That said, not experienced this with my E46 (B3S) in the 18 years I've had it.
ETA: A quick surf reveals this is quite common and the majority of cases relate to the indicator stalk self-cancelling lug not completely releasing.
There may be other reasons but this sounds logical and worth exploring.

Thank you for the tips and advice , I haven’t gotten around to looking into this as been a little busy the last couple of months and more pressing issues seem to be at play here which I’ll open another thread for
