Hi there,
I have a D3 single turbo and I am having issues with loss of boost. When at 6th on highway and full throttle from cca 1500rpm in pulls strong from cca 2k to 3k and than it drops boost. on 1st, 2nd and 3rd it pulls from 2500rpms untill rev limiter.
How to check that actuator is working properly?
DPF OK, new Bosch MAF, new IC, checked hoses for leaks...

Re: Alpina d3 loss of power
Finally got my D3 Bi turbo to run alot better. I've not had a dyno run so cant tell if its 100% but the guy who looked into the faults at Auto Dynamics (Jason) in Newton Abbot said it performs how he would expect it to.
The first thing he did was scan the car to look at the codes and there was evidence of the Oil Pressure Switch plausability fault returning despite replacement of the sensor a good few months back.
The car was then updated and this enabled both the turbo pressure controllers as the smaller turbo controller had been disabled.
Jason said the DPF back pressure was high so i need to consider a DPF clean or delete pipe. There aren't any glow plug faults so when the weather improves i will get it on a dyno and report back.
Many thanks to Andy Kelly for his assistance also,
