Can anybody tell me the right oil grade for the B5/B7 Bi Turbo
Is it 0w30 or 5w30 ????

I have a sticker on mine says 0W/30 Castrol
E65 B7 4.4 V8 supercharged No 106 (1 of 11 B7 built for UK)
F22 M235i - everyday driver
E 39 523i sold May 2023

On the B5/B6 and B7's (Supercharged) it is 0w30, I also
have the stickers

I'm trying to verify the oil grade for the F01 B7 Bi-Turbo
Which I think is 5w30

Don't know.

Both those oils should be interchangeable, but if you're really worried shoot Axel an email. Also you can ring Opie Oils and explain to them what car it is, how you use it etc and they will advise.

I run a 5w30 in place of a 0w30. I get absolutely no issues from the B5 E60, but I do switch it out annually. Whatever you do ignore the service indicator, the long service intervals have always caused issues!
