B3 / D3 19" alloys on a Roadster
B3 / D3 19" alloys on a Roadster
With the potential purchase of a Roadster S coming up, would like to know if B10 19" wheels would fit a roadster?
Thanks
Thanks

If the wheels are from an E39 B10, then the centre bores are a different, larger size (74.1mm) to the Roadster's (72.6mm) so you would initially require a centering ring/spacer. These are notoriously difficult to fit perfectly central to the hub when the wheel is tightened-on, so you may end-up with 1 or more wheels running eccentrically, which may lead to an interesting ride.
Also, E39 B10 offsets are (IIRC) ET24 and ET30 for 19" wheels and your Roadster requires an ET50. If the B10 wheels go inside the rear arches, you may find the fronts are more of an issue.
Why are you considering thiis change? If it's to put Classics on an RS, go easy. It's not the best look for them Check out some of those Japanese-spec RS's!
Hope some of that helps.

Wrong offsets again! They are too low, especially the fronts, and will catch the arches on lock and over bumps.Fast3000 wrote:Or better still would a set of 19inch softlines from an e90 fit? D3/B3?
You need offsets in the range 44-50mm ie E46 or E85 as the E85 is heavily based upon E46 mechanicals (I know an ET44 8J will fit as I've seen some fitted as winters). Careful with the width of the wheel at the front, too, as a Roadster S is fitted with 8.5J to ensure clearance inside and out, whilst the rear is a 9.5J.
