Just been on phone to my local bmw dealer, with me supply my own oil
Quoted 725 inclusive then discounted due to age of car to 619 inclusive and applied a further discount to 576 inclusive
Obviously if I wasn’t supplying my own oil this would be circa 125 plus vat on top of each price
Seems very steep to me? Or is that normal nowadays part of quote will be the value line kit for inspection 2
E46 B3s inspection 2 plus brake fluid cost..
Re: E46 B3s inspection 2 plus brake fluid cost..
An inspection 2 includes new spark plugs and all air, pollen and oil filters and probably needs 2- 3 hours at £120 per hour + vat - so labour will be £300 -400 and plugs alone will be £80-100, so this gets you near £500. The biggest cost will be main dealer labour.
I'm sure Barry could give you a ball park figure from an indie to compare

Re: E46 B3s inspection 2 plus brake fluid cost..
I had a big service on the B5 the end of last year. As per hap, it's easy to think the price is high until you add up the cost of 8 plugs (the recommended ones are not cheap) over 9 litres of oil, filter kits etc. I actually thought it seemed pretty good value in the end!
