Going round a tight roundabout today, I had wheel rubbing, got home inspected and the off side rear of car is 1cm lower than near side. Checked springs, shocks (less than a year old Bilstein B4) and control arms all looked fine and no indication of a bearing issue. I note on other forums than a dropping off side seems to be a common problem. I was thinking my rear springs may just be old and have lost their recoil abilities.
Anyone know what the part number of the correct spring is for the vehicle or am I forced to ask the stealership with there BMW tax on parts.
Thanks for reading and hopefully a helpful reply or 2.

Parts catalogues are in the sticky at the top of this section https://www.thealpinaregister.com/forum ... 38&t=24985
But for springs you will need to email ALPINA directly for them to confirm the spec of spring since they have a couple of options and are selected based on specific options on the car.

Re: D3 Bi-Turbo E92 2008, Off Side Rear Drooping
It is a long time since I had my E92 D3BT, but I had a similar issue with it. It was a 58 plate. I hadn't noticed the difference myself, but I took the car to Center Gravity to get the suspension alignment professionally set up, and Chris there pointed it out. However, he noted that the tolerance for the ride height was plus or minus a certain amount (it's in your supplementary handbook - I can't remember now what it was) and his advice was that so long as each side was within tolerance on the ride height, and so long as he could get the suspension alignment correct, all would be well. In my case, each side was in tolerance and he was able to set it up correctly, so no new parts were needed, and all was indeed well.
Sorry if this is far too late for you - I only just came across your post.

Re: D3 Bi-Turbo E92 2008, Off Side Rear Drooping
cheers for the reply, in the end I replaced the rear control arms and wishbones (Meyle kit with all 6 and new bushes), massive difference, both sides level now, looks like the bushes got tired (well they were 14 years old). Had to replace the front control arms post the MOT (ball joint had died), so it seemed like a sensible move. Otherwise #111 all good.

Hi Kiwi
I only just realised you were posting about number 111. I should have looked more carefully at your sig. That used to be my car - the one I mentioned in my post! Anyway, I am very glad to hear all is well with the car.

Simon
