B3 3.3 Oh so tempted for winter use

Post by B10BRW » Fri Oct 05, 2012 9:15 pm

I have just taken my B3S BT off the road for the winter, but will suffer withdrawal symptoms for a few months
This B3 3.3 has been for sale for a while, and I am very tempted to use it through the winter, " on winter tyres" am I mad or should I go for it.
Mileage is good if genuine, not too taken by the cloth interior, but I have seen a nice leather interior which would replace it.
I am a sucker for Red cars, as far as I can tell it is No. 57 in Hell Red.
Sytners press car.

Is it worth the asking price :?:

Not mad, and I'd say probably worth the asking price; looks a decent car from the pix. Personally, as a winter-runner, I'd live with the seats, too...or sell them to someone needing original cloth seats 8)

Why take the B3s BT off the road?

Just put some winter tyres and smaller rimed alloys.

I have a set of 18" ALPINA Classic alloys 8 x 18“ 225/40 R18 92V with MICHELIN Pilot Alpin 2 winter tyres, and what a transformation :P

No problems at all for the past two years.

I, for one, can appreciate the attraction of a nice Hellrot paint job

It looks good in the ad, but we all know how reliable they can be - just look at the car Mick viewed http://thealpinaregister.com/forums/vie ... hp?t=13738

The only way you'll really find out if it's worth the money to you is by going to view/test-drive it. Luckily it looks as though it's fairly close to you so you won't be investing too much in the way of time & money to do so

I think I've seen this one for sale for quite a while. If 'first to see will buy', he's not had any viewings in that time
Does look good in the photos, though, and I'd prefer that cloth interior for winter.
