Yup, a year or so back, I had a spell of extremely rough running on start-up. Not particularly noticeable otherwise. The warming light came on (can't recall what it was called, but it indicated a fuel mix problem). I took it to a local garage, and their first question was "Did you fill up at Tesco's?". They had a regular stream of customers with the same problem. Solution was to just fill up with decent petrol, and the problem went away. Never been back to Tesco (for fuel) since. I stick to Shell V-Power now.

I did contact Tesco customer services, and they basically said it was impossible for their fuel to be less than 100% perfect, and told me to get lost (I paraphrase).
