Re: ULEZ - older ALPINAs

I now have a dilemma pay for the emission certificates for both of my cars or buy something older than 40 years of age like this ... One trip in one of those and you'll be paying the money for an emissions confirmation! 🤣🤣🤣 Yes you're right Seriously though, I completely agree that it's a pai...

Re: ULEZ - older ALPINAs

Glad and good news for the people who have received their emission confirmation - great result :) Well, Khan will be extending the zone even though it is said most cars in and that enter the zone are exempt. As usual, consultations are just a process they need to have with us to make it look fair an...

Mike had the perfect opportunity to explain the brand or a C2 2.5 when Elvis asked: "Have you seen what that is?"

People are either still asking what is it? or are no longer interested and think it is a BMW with a fancy badge

Re: ULEZ - older ALPINAs

Hi your right it says Euro 4 but cars after 2001 can meet the emissions standard. Maybe before ? if less than 0.08g/km like you said. "The ULEZ is enforced based on the declared emissions of the vehicle rather than the age." I used to have a 2003 E39 Touring that was automatically exempt, i guess a...

Re: ULEZ - older ALPINAs

Am I correct that it does not necessarily mean a petrol car needs to be euro 4, but the emissions need to be below a certain level?

Are the E36 B3 3.2, E46 B3 3.3, B10 3.2 and 3.3 have the same emissions?

Re: Engine Braking. Good or Bad?

It all depends on their experience of driving other cars with paddle shifts as some are not that great. They may have based it on that A few weeks ago I drove a VW Arteon great car to drive but compared to my B3 which is 25 years old the gearing on manual shifts was no comparison to mine, yet your s...

and it was apparently ordered from Germany. (It’s left hand drive) E21's conversations could be done by a dealer. If you can confirm it was sold by a German dealer then find out which one? Once that has been established, then ask if they did the conversion etc . Not sure now to attach photos on her...

Re: Trying to get my c1 alpina verified, anyone got connections in buchloe?

Is the car a Sytner Conversion or even before it or is it a non UK car? If its UK and Sytner we are in touch with Mark Adkin who is one of the people who carried out the conversions at Nottingham. He would stamp his initials on the engine block "MA", have you got anything like that? In the UK, E21 ...

Re: The Other Messing B10 V8S Touring

Nice car With regards to LCI My understanding is prior to E60 there is no such thing as an LCI. Just pre-facelift and facelift As it was first introduced in the E60 range. LCI in the E60 were cosmetic changes and a few tweaks here and there (IIRC), and later a facelift version arrived. This is why a...

Re: ULEZ - older ALPINAs

Hi i have a B10 3.3 switchtronic Touring 2002 I enquired to tfl about ULEZ exemption & was told i need a emission certificate from the vehicle manufacturer. I contacted Sytner & got Alpina's email. I emailed Alpina "classic@alpina.de" & it cost 60euros for the certificate. NOxvalue:0,059g/km This c...
