Re: Z4 Alpina Roadster shocks

Aren’t the fronts standard E85 parts too Perry? They come up in RealOEM as being used across the range from 2.0i to 3.0i. I have notes on parts for my RS and the part numbers I gave are from my list, but if it says on RealOEM that the shocks are also used on other E85s then I guess they must be - a...

Don't want to pick holes but it's a diseasal so surely the thread title should be 'eBay D3 BiTurbo replica'

...or, alternatively, the thread could, more accurately, be titled 'eBay pile of shite with lots of el-cheapo Alpina stickers'

Re: DVLA Very Slow.......... Dam COVID

I know that they're about as useful as a chocolate fireguard but you could try writing to your MP - if they do decide to help out and raise the issue via 'back channels' you may find the DVLA suddenly find time to action your licence validation.

Re: Damaged locking wheel nut

Might be a McGard but a lot of the later BMW ones looked like that as well - first step would be to pop into a BMW dealership to see if the pattern matches one of the standard ones You can buy sets of them - makes it easier for the low-life scum to steal your wheels BMWKeys.jpg Failing that, I know ...

Re: Alloy wheels covered by BMW warranty?

They replaced the rear wheels on our previous F25 X3 when the clearcoat started to lift around the centre caps - think it was between 2 & 3 years old when they were replaced

Re: Buying an alpina roadster s. anyone know car #006?

If you definitely want an RS be prepared to wait for a good one and, with so few built, be prepared to travel for it. There are a number of them that seem to pop up regularly on dealer's websites or ebay and when you see the same car frequently listed it does tend to ring a few alarm bells. Keep an ...

Re: Buying an alpina roadster s. anyone know car #006?

This car has always had a couple of mileage anomalies showing in its MOT records e.g Jun 2007 22,872 miles Dec 2007 22,556 miles Dec 2008 35,333 miles Dec 2009 70,739 miles Jun 2011 49,158 miles I'm not saying there's definitely something wrong as they could have been incorrectly entered by the MOT ...

Re: Silver Roadster S - Colchester

If it doesn't have a red interior It can't be #295 as that was first registered in July 2006 #296 as that was first registered in July 2006 (and exported in 2011 - last known location was Germany in 2013) #298 as that has red leather It could be #251 if it's had its plate changed #297 if it's had it...

Re: Silver Roadster S - Colchester

Trying to work out which # this is - according to the DVLA it was first registered in March 2006. It doesn't match any of the registration plates I have for age & colour (but it may have had the plate changed) How closely did you look at it? Did you notice the interior colour as the photo lacks colo...

Re: Torque for wheel bolts

There's an easy way to remember to BMW wheel bolt torques for their 'standard' bolt sizes of 12mm & 14mm The recommended torques are ((bolt diameter in mm) x 10Nm) +/- 10Nm This means that 12mm bolts should be 120Nm +/10Nm so 110-130Nm 14mm bolts should be 140Nm +/10Nm so 130-150Nm The educated amon...
