Brought v bought.

When I raised my displeasure at peoples insistence of inserting apostrophes where they were not required, I received a couple of replies. I did not realise that others on this forum were also rather peeved with poor use of grammar and punctuation. My admiration for those who are au fait with the com...

B3 3.3

All I can suggest for this model is do what I've done. When you refill the oil use a good quality 10w 60.My consumption has reduced from 400 miles per litre to 1000 miles per litre.
All the other problems arise with any old car with that mileage.

Should I be worried?

Hi No.88.Yes I'd get that treated right away. Don't ignore it,it will not go away. My no.89 has been through some rough times ,but has emerged looking and going like it should do. Good luck.

steering wheel wobble

I had the same thing happen to me.Try the sticking brake caliper first. Is one wheel hotter than on the other side? If so it's brake caliper.

Can I cry a little bit?

The Forum strikes again,or at least Mr Lovibond has. Charles, your assessment was spot on.The a/f ratio was way out, making the lamda sensor indicate a fault. So spark plugs cleaned,MAF sensor cleaned, air filter cleaned.breather pipes taken off, cleaned and replaced. Guess what? Exhaust emissions det...

Can I cry a little bit?

Hello Charles.Thank you for your suggestion ,but I've not noticed any of the symptoms you've offered.
It starts on the button ,pulls like a train and runs as smooth as.....silk?

Can I cry a little bit?

Many thanks for the suggestions, but after a leisurely drive this morning and a couple of stops for shopping and lunch, the light went off when I started the engine and remained so for a 20 mile drive home. What do I do now? If this car wasn't such a delight to drive I would p/ex it . However,it is e...

Can I cry a little bit?

Oh dear. Here we go again.Listen you knowledgeable lot.Having just replaced my front pads and brake caliper,my exhaust emissions light has stayed on.The fault codes indicated a faulty lambda sensor. This has been replaced but the light still glowers at me ,daring me to open my wallet even wider. My tr...
