My winters will go on in the next couple of weeks. I run 19" Alpina wheels on my B3 Biturbo year round and have the tyres swapped over by my local fitter at £10 per corner including balancing and nitrogen, have had no issues at all doing this but I store the off car tyres myself so total cost is £...

B10 V8 Saloon going to Auction

Not very well described - I have no financial interest but it has a low estimate so may interest some here.

I would recommend the B3 - not only for the entertainment value but with your mileage the higher running cost would be minimal, the advantages of the petrol engine are huge, even if you only 'use' it once in a while, when overseas of course. I would not go with a very pale leather again - I had cham...

There is an option of an addative that eats the bacteria that i saw somewhere, but personally i think the costs are prohibitive. I was accused of being a cheapskate at my BMW dealer for not using their screenwash or a quality alternative (which supposedly has an anti algal / bacterial additive) and...

I don't see the harm in the visual components - wheels and spoilers. I think it becomes an issue with components like suspension - I remember testing a 530i with ALPINA suspension - it hadn't got it - but at the time I was led to believe it had - it just had the wheels. No harm but isn't the expres...

Can you still do this in the UK? Yes Do not even need to go to a BMW dealer - apparently you can buy pretty well anything Alpina from here ; http://www.alloywheelsdirect.net/alpina_alloys And if so, does it diminish the brand by having non-Alpina cars running Alpina wheels? Yes, except the price of...

Not strictly true as I have regularly got 20k miles from the rears and 40k miles from the fronts on original PS tyres on the B3S
Same here but slightly more on the rears, about 24-26k iirc (because it was 80% on the M1).
